Sorry to hear they are messing you about, they are the only other company I know to insure odd vehicles, if you do end up getting a good quotr from them in the end you'll have to ask about a referal discount ;)

Read that though not sure if that affects my policy as never heard anything about it and also it seems to suggest it something they will do, not currently do. God knows with em don't trust em as far as can throw them now

Some times the good guys win ....

http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/p ... eading.htm

.... but not often.

This is an extract from MoneySupermarket.com on http://www.moneysupermarket.com/c/motor ... insurance/

"Quad bikes are attractive to thieves, so insurers tend to charge lower quad insurance quotes if you fit approved security devices,
such as a ground anchor with a chain and lock, an alarm or tracking device.
It also helps is you keep the quad bike in a locked garage when not in use."

Note "helps" not "mandatory" ....

.... so how about a phone-call followed by a threat to go to the Financial Ombudsman if they come back with the "it must be in a locked garage" song! :y2:

Not sure that would work old un. That's just a written opinion it's not a rule of any sort that they can't refuse point blank based on not being in a shed. Think the fos would be a difficult argument for this situation as there was no written expression of agreement to change to f/c policy at a later date and I didn't specifically enquire to requirement to have a shed/garage to do so
