Klf / bayou minor oil leak help

Postby mrtigger » Mon Jun 29, 2015 10:36 am

Ok guys big box of frame parts finally turned up today after the tax man and parcel farce bent me over so need to start figuring out this leak. It's a minor seep but enough to drip coming from behind the gear selector lever.

Now i would really rather not take this thing right back to bottom end and gears to replace a damn seal if it even runs one. Anyone know if they do or have any suggestions?

Bare in mind she's a 1990 so fact of the life that she's had and is still living is amazing in itself lol

Nope. £20/30 quid and it's not likely I'll end up with another one anytime soon so not really worth it for such a small detail. Rest so far I can handle

only thing I can suggest is try going on here to see a parts list & see if you can see an oil seal on that part http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/kawasaki ... -parts-ccp

Getting 'Internal server error" on ur second link. Used ebay etc found a selector shaft seal but no hint if it was internal external left or right. Part diagrams I found show no seals

Managed to use your link to Google and find it. For 300 but engine layout looks same. Legend

Well unless I can't read diagram that also doesn't seem to imply any obvious seal other than just a washer
